Mangaluru, December 31: The premiere show of the Kannada-Tulu movie ‘Sulige Sikkidaaga’ was held on Wednesday, December 30th, at Cinepolis Theatre in City Centre Mall in Mangaluru.
The movie ‘Sulige Sikkidaaga’ is directed by Sandeep Malani from Mangaluru and is produced by Bollywood actress Kalpana Pandith.
Sandeep Malani spoke to the media representatives prior to the premiere and said, the movie has a local touch with a few characters speaking Tulu in the film. The movie is shot in Bengaluru and a few scenes in the USA.
The movie is a tribute to women empowerment that shows the heroine as a perfect example to overcome all difficulties, and stand on her own feet. ‘Sulige Sikkidaaga’ received good response from the audience, media and stars in Bengaluru recently. Parvathamma Rajkumar appreciated the team for the wonderful work and wished well for the movie.
The film will be also screened on the eve of New Year on Thursday, December 31st, at St Aloysius grounds by Lions Club, Kankanady Padil.
Kalpana Pandith- producer and lead actress of the movie said, she has great hopes on the movie as it has come out well and all the artistes and the technicians have worked very well.
Eminent Coastalwood directors Vijayakumar Kodialbail and Richard Castelino watched the movie along with the artistes.
On this occasion, Charan-Co-director of ‘Sulige Sikkidaaga’ and Sanjeev Dhandakeri- director of famous Tulu movie ‘Bolli Dota’ were felicitated.
Vijayakumar Kodialbail speaking to the media after the screening of the movie, said appreciating the movie that, the audience would like it.
Richard Castelino said that it was a good try as meagre number of people makes movies with a message to create awareness in the society.
