Mangalore, July 17: DK district milk producers union as a good will gesture has decided to contribute Rs 10 lac towards uttarakhand flood relief fund to mitigate the hardships and problems of the affected people in the recent unprecedented deluge that hit the state.
A delegation of the DK milk producers union led by Ramanatha Rai, minister for forest, ecology and environment and district in charge had gone to Bangalore.
Raviraj Hegde Kodavur,President district milk producers union met Chief minister Siddaramaih in Bangalore and handed over the cheque for Rs 10 lac to him towards the noble cause of the rehabilitation of Uttarakhanda flood-hit people.
Seetharama Rai Savanur, Monappa Shetty, yekkar, Sucharitha Shetty, Padmanabha Shetty Arkaje, directors of the union and Dr B V Satyanarayan, MD and among others were present on the occasion.
