Save ESIC rally; hunger strike by Akhila Bharatha Karmika Sangha

Mangalore, July 19: Addressing the press reporters in the press meet held on July 19,Friday Sudhatta Jain Shirtadi,chief secretary,Akhila Bharatha Karmika Sangha said in his address that ESIC service should be available to all categories of employees and irregularities, disorders  in the ESIC hospitals must be regularized.

He also said that on August 19th morning a procession-march will be organized from city’s DC office to ESIC hospital, Kadri Shivbagh and there indefinite strike and day-night fast sathyagraha will be held.

He also further said that presently with the share of 87.5% from central government and 12.5% from state government grant-in-aid, ESIC is facing problem in the development works and hence the entire responsibility should be taken by the central government, he added

Therefore Jain warned the government that as long as government is not improving Karmik’s Rajya Vima hospital (employees state insurance hospital), sangha will observe day-night fast.

Besides, he also said on the occasion that apart from presenting various demands of the sangha, it will also fight for the women employees, who work in rural areas to relieve from their duties before 7 pm in the evening.
