Mangalore, July 24: Expressing the dissatisfaction, Karnataka Rajya Dalitha Sangharsha Samiti convener M. Devdas alleged that Mangalore University Vice- Chancellor Prof T C Shivashankara Murthy has been showing Anti Dalit Policy. If this treatment continued, then Rajya Dalitha Sangharsha Samiti will stage a protest in front of administration office, he warned.
Addressing the presspersons, he said that Mangalore University Non-Staff Employees Union members Ravi Prakash and others were started 400 hundred meter track formation work in University Non- Staff Employees housing reserved place, instead of earlier reserved place. Hence with oppose of the workers, Karnataka Rajya Dalitha Sangharsha Samiti had given the memorandum to Vice Chancellor to take strict action and also mentioned for not to take individual decision, but without responding to the request he had dismissed the employees and followed Anti Dalit Policy, he said.
He urged that the Govinda Matti, Vijaya Raj .H and Raviprakash’s dismiss order should be cancel quickly and should heir them back for their work. ‘Those who oppose to handle relevant document during the department investigation, should face stringent action and Vice Chancellor Shivashankar Murthy should be suspended from his post, otherwise committee will stage a protest’, he warned.
Karnataka Rajya Dalitha Sangharsha Samiti district unit convener R C Ameen, Udupi- Mangalore section covener Shekar Hejamadi, District convener Raghu K Ekkaru, District unit convener Shekar Chilimbi and District working unit member Padmakshi were present.
