Youth litterateurs should grow: Dr. Dhoddarangegowda

Mangalore, July 25:  Kannada culture should be part of our life, and then only Kannada can be preserved, hence youth litterateur should grow by showing interest toward Kannada culture, said senior litterateur Dr. Dhoddarangegowda.

After receiving the Dhi. Ko. A. Udupa award organised by  Yugapurusha Institution at Kinnigoli, he said that Kannada culture traces were found during B.C 2nd centuries in desert area like Egypt and it shows the wider spread of Kannada culture all over the world. There is necessity of preservation of Kannada culture, however, the contribution of Dhi. Ko. A. Udupa towards Kannada literature is appreciable, he said.

Senior litterateur Erya Laxminarayana Alwa presided over the function and said that Yugapurush newspaper became a platform to senior and junior litterateur to develop and also provided a chance to explore them.

Kateel temple priest K Laxminarayana Asranna felicitated Belmannu Vasudeva Thantri on the occasion.

MP Nalin Kumar said that litterateurs are famous for their revolutionary thinking, than literary language. Yugapurusha institutions need to identify in the international level and Dhi. Ko. A. Udupa’s contributions resulted a solid development in the society, he said.

Senior litterateur K G Mallya released Yugapurusha publications ‘Katthala Rajya Haruva Prajegalu’, authored by Palakala Seetharama and Kundapura Kundaprabha news paper’s editor U. S. Shenoy released Binaga Anantha Chinthamani Jyothishi written ‘Makkaligagi Kathegalu’ work.

Senior literature organising coordinator K. P. Mallya felicitated on the occasion.

Yugapurusha Chief Editor Kodetthuru Bhuvanabhirama, Senior litterateur Anantha Udupa, Padmanabha Udupa and  retired Professor Kundapura Shivananda Karantha   were present.
