Kundapur, July 29: Condemning the anti-people’s attitude of town panchayat officials DYFI, Kundapur taluk samithi has organized a massive procession and protest against the hike in water tariff on July 29, Monday at Kundapur.
Addressing the protestors Sudhakar Kanchan, DYFI main leader said in his address that water being the main source of life, it is not wadvisable to think about the profit and loss but in Kundapur town panchayat same kind of unwanted things are happening, which is highly deplorable. When the prices of daily consumable items are sky rocketing like anything, anti-people’s attitude of Kundapur town panchayat by increasing the water tariff is highly condemned, he alleged.
A massive procession was organized from Shastri circle to town panchayat office.
Leaders like H Narasimha, Suresh Kallagara and amongst others were present in the protest.
