Udipi; August 10: After inaugurating the table tennis tournament organized by shine table tennis academy on August 10, at Ajjarakadu indoor stadium, Pramodh Madhwaraj, MLA from Udipi constituency said in his address that by seeking the opinions, suggestions from all the interested sports personalities, a conducive project will be envisaged in the future sports events as per the requirements of the sports personalities in the district within five years of time in the district.
He further said that table tennis is very curious and anxious game and for the further improvement of indoor and outdoor stadiums in the district, government will always co-operate and I have already discussed with Abhayachandra Jain, minister for youth welfare and sports affairs for the construction of swimming pools in the district and he has agreed for the same, he added.
Cadets, sub juniors, juniors, men and women singles and doubles and group events will be there.
Shafi Ahmad, President, Nagraj Shet, Damodhar, Divyarani, Iqbal Manna and among others were present.
