Mangalore, August 21: Due to lack of medicinal spray, it effected to agriculture and so much areca nut got damaged. The farmer condition is very bad and they have loosed crores of rupees. Hence, there is requirement of government cooperation, said BJP election committee president Nagaraj Shetty.
Addressing the media persons he said that rain is falling continuously from three month and because of this medicine cannot be sprayed to plants. It leads to loss and 50 percent crops are suffering from rots problem. Hence, there is need to drag the attention of state government and fighting committee also formed, he said.
On September 25 fighting committee meeting is called at Shivamogaa, under the leadership of former Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda, Eshwarappa and Campco officials, he said.
BJP district president Padbanabha Kottary was present.
