Bantwal, Aug 22: A four and half year old baby girl died in the spot and two others were injured in the auto rickshaw collision to a goods rikshaw near Syndicate Bank at Panemangalur on August 21.
The deceased has been identified as Fathimatul Tapseera, daughter of Mohammed Ashraf, resident of Nandavara in Panemangalur. The injured are Sahuda Banu and Shakina are admitted at the Bantwal government college.
Sources said that the both girl and her aunt Sahuba Banu were travelling to Kannur in a rickshaw. But unfortunately, a goods carrier which was travelling over the speed limit collided head on to auto rikshaw.
The baby girl was living with her; however her parents reside in Kannur. But, Sahuda Banu was bringing the child back to her parents, as she was missing them.
Bantwal city police station SI Shekar rushed to the spot and a case has been registered at the Bantwal police station.
