Bantwala, August 24: Regarding the robbery in the two jewellery shop of the Siddakatte, police department have formed a special squad in the leadership of Bantwal and Belthangadi circle commissioner to find out the accused.
District in charge B Ramanatha Rai gained the information about robbery and suggested district SP Abhishek Goel to form team to find out the culprits. On Friday, public and traders meet was held in the station and trades were suggested to take precaution action. The meet was led by circle commissioner Anil. S. Kulakarni.
The robbers did not leave any clue, which is become problematic to find out. Police suspected that the thieves were experts in the field and they followed the same method, which was done two days ago in the Moodabidri jewellery shop. Police also suspected that both incidents thieves are same.
Give the importance to jewellery protection: Inspector Thimmayya: In recent days thieving cases are increasing in Moodabidre area. The jewellery owners must be careful, said Inspector Thimmayya.
He was speaking in the meet of Jewellers association and gold smiths’ hitharakshana vedike at Samanja Mandira.
‘After removing the check posts in the Bantwala, karkalla and Belthangadi road thieving cases are increasing. The check posts must be formed again and more interceptors must be given to police as well as CC cameras must be implemented’, jewellery owners urged.
‘There are demands to implement the check posts, but there is lack of staffs’ said A.K Thimmayya.
Moodabidre jewellers’ association president Ramdas pai, secretary Ravichandra Acharya, Harish Acharya and Dinesh Acharya were present.
