Udupi; August 29: After Sree Krishna Janmashtami celebration today is the turn of ‘Vittla Pindi’ celebration in Udupi.
Under the able and dynamic leadership of Paryaya Sodhe Vishwavallabatheertha, Krishna Jayanthi and Vittla Pindi have been celebrated at Udupi Rathabeedhi in great pomp.
Thousands of devotees from different parts of the district poured into the street of Udupi to watch Vittla Pindi celebration.
Huli vesha (tiger dance) in different costumes was the highlight of the day followed by folk song teams dances, Huli vesha by physically handicapped people and wooden legged Huli vesha etc were the attrractions of the celebration and lured the heart of thousands of devotees, who came from different parts of the district to watch the glory of the celebration
