Mangalore, September 2:’ Education is cause for economy of the universe and we must give important to two factors in the life. First thing is health, without health we can’t do anything and second one is education, we must gain the education. Without these two, life is nothing but waste’, said Higher education and tourism minister R.V Deshpande.
He was speaking after inaugurating the scholarship to Konkani language students by the scholarship fund of Vishwa Konkani centre, he said that without having education and health no one can lead successful life in the 21st century and Dakshina Kannada and Udupi have come forward in the educational field. In the global world, India is a small village and everyone needs to compete. Every student must develop, with this intension, these scholarships are distributing, he said.
‘In every field of the society, problem occurs. Some time we feel hard to walk along with truth, will get best output from that’, he added.
‘Without the difference of caste and religion, scholarship is distributing every category people. After gaining the employment, you will have a responsibility. You need to help the education of future generation and on this regard, by keeping this in the mind you must move forward, he said.
On the occasion Minister R.V Deshpande was felicitated and nearly 2.5 crores of rupees scholarship was distributed to the students.
Manipal education and Medical group CEO Dr. Ranjan Pai, Manipal global education vice chancellor T.V Mohandas Pai, MLA J R Lobo, Vishwa Konkani Centre president Basti Vamana Shenoy and others were present.
