Mangalore, September 2: Vishwa Konkani Students Scholarship Fund president Ramadas kamath .U said that Vishwa Konkani Centre has distributed Rs.25 crores of scholarships to Konkani language students from its fund at Raman Pai convention hall on Monday.
Addressing the media person he said that from 2010, the scholarship has been giving to students for community Konkani language students and it helps to the poor students in the education. In the 3 year, the Konkani centre has distributed Rs.3.5crores of scholarship to more than 2000 students, he said.
In the present year 596 engineer and 28 MBBS students have gained the scholarships and it has distributing not only to state students, but also to Kerala state students also, he said.
Rural area students are can’t mingle with urban area students. Hence, personal development and training programmes are giving to them. In this year Kharwi categories 50studenst have been selected and in the last year, training is given through 41 campaigns, he said.
