Karkala; Sept 11: Three people have been arrested by the forest department authorities at Mullur check-post near Mala, for illegally transporting country made gun in Maruti Omni vehicle, which was heading towards Karkala from Kerekatte on Tuesday evening.
Arrested have been identified as Sanjeeva, Ganesha and Vishwanatha.
Chidananda, Naravi wildlife unit’s sub unit forest authority, who recovered country made Gun and Maruti Omni from the arrested, has transferred the case to Karkala rural police station.
