Mangalore, Sept.15: The 21st Ganeshotsav celebration of Sarvajanika Shri Ganeshotsav Samiti under the sponsership of Hindu Yuva Sena was completed with colorful shobhayatra.
The celebration continued for seven days at Chatrapathi Shivaji Mantap, Nehru Maidan with religious and cultural programme.
The procession started at Nehru Maidan, and passed through clock tower, Hampan Katte, K.S.Rao Road, Navabharath Circle, Dongerekeri,Newchitra theatre, Carstreet and culminating at Mahammayee Temple Lake. The procession became more attractive with Chande vadana of Kerala, Nasik Band, eye catching tableaus, statues, and fire work show.
The fest concluded Shobhayatra and immersion procession of Lord Ganesh idol on Sunday, September after the Maha Pooja.
The honourable president of the Ganeshotsav Samithi Bhaskar Chandra Shetty, President Shashikanth Nagvikere, Secretary Ramachandra Chawta, President of Hindu Yuva Sene Yashodhar Chawta, NAgesh Bajilkare, Janardhan S Arkula, Padnabha Navleri, Mohan Padil, Dinkar Shetty, Dharmendra and other member of the organisation, participated in the procession.
