Karkala; Sept 18: On Sept 16, Tuesday night robbery has been reported in city’s Laxmi Gold workshop by spraying chilly powder on shop owner’s eyes and decamped with gold ornaments wroth Rs 42 lac.Shop owner immediately reported the matter to police and police in turn swung into action instantly and could able to apprehend prime accused Madhukara Acharya at Hiriadka with the co-operation of Hiriadka police.
Hiriadka police handed over the main accused to Karkala city police station, who in turn produced him in the court. Justice has ordered him to be under judicial custody until Sept 30.
However it was informed that two more accused Shahid Kundapur and Chandrahasa Koni have also been nabbed but it is not yet confirmed.
Remaining accused Mohan, Sushanth and Prashanth,all of them are resident of Amparu are still at large.
