Mangalore, Sep 23: Now Mangalore get ready to Mangalore Dasara-2013. Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple at Kudroli’s Navaratri celebration will starts from October 5th to 14th October 2013 said the the president of administrative committee Harikrishna Bantwal in a press meet held at the Kudroli Temple’s Hall here on Monday, September 23.
The celebrations will begin from 5th October by instating the idols of nava durgas, Sharada Matha, Maha Ganapathi and social reformer Narayana Guru at 11.30 a.m he said.
The Dharmadhikari, Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dr D Veerendra Heggade will inaugurate the installation ceremony. Ex Finance Minister and Senior Congress Leader Janardhan Poojary will preside over the function.
Cultural programmes of national recognized artist will be held every day 6.30 p.m. onwards till October 13, in addition to the daily religious rituals at the Santhoshi Kala Mantap of the Temple.
The last day on 14th of October the colourful procession of Navadurga will start at 4p.m with enticing statues, chendevadana, other artforms and it will pass through Kudroli, Mannagudda, Lady Hill, Lalbagh, PVS Circle, Navabharath Circle, K.S. Rao Road, Hampankatta, GHS Road, Car Street and Alake to return to the temple.
President Temple Administrative Committee H S Sairam, Vice president Raghavendra Kumar, Secretary B Madhava Suvarna, Treasurer Padmaraj R Advocate, B K Taranath, Ravishanker Mijar, K Maheshchandra, Dr. B G Suvarna and Dr Anasuya B T Salian were also present in the pressmeet.
