Mangalore, Oct 11: The officials of the Narcotics Drugs Cell (NDC) on Thursday October 10 arrested a drug seller who was supplying ganja to students and youth at Nehru Avenue Road, Lalbagh here.
The accused has been identified as Manikanta alias Mani (26), a resident of Devi Nagar, Kavoor.
Based on information obtained, the team tracked him down and arrested him. It is learnt that Manikanta was targeting college students and selling ganja to them.
The officials seized 650 grams of ganja from Manikanta.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Madoor Nazeer from Manjeshwar supplied ganja to Manikanta. Students and youth were Manikanta’s main targets.
Later, the accused was handed over to Barke police for further investigation. Barke police have registered a case.
