Mangalore, Oct 17: Former Chief Minister D V Sadananda Demands CBI probe into Saujanya’s rape and murder case
Addressing media persons on Thursday Oct. 17 he said if the parents of the victim not satisfied with the CoD investigation, government should hand over the case to CBI immediately.
He further said some forces attempt to malign the name of Holy Dharmasthala. BJP never encourages such forces to tarnish the image of the holy place,” he said.
Speaking about compensation for areca nut growers he said that due to heavy rain 65 percent of areca nut crop has been damaged. The government has to release Rs 162 crore immediately. He said that he will discuss with the areca nut growers regarding their problems.
Government has announced package for aracanut but have not released it, he said.
Since cattle are having foot-and-mouth disease they need medicine. There should be proper treatment for those cattle, he said.
Regarding to Yetthina Hole project Sadananda Gowda.said there is no threat by Yettinahole project. Only 24TMC water will be taken to neighbouring districts. Soon I will make irrigation department officials to clarify the subject”.
BJP district president Prathap Simha Nayak, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, BJP leaders Monappa Bhandary, Shailaja Bhat, Sanjeeva Matanduru, Rukmayya Bhandary and Nagaraja Shetty were present.
