Udupi; Oct 28: Addressing the protestors in the protest meet organized by Karnataka Janapara Vedhike (JPV) in front of Gandhi statue in Udupi service bus station on Oct 27, Sunday, Jayan Malpe, Chief Convener Jayan Malpe, chief convener Karnataka state Dalit Sangharsh Samiti said in his address that in 1986 Padmalata and in 2012 Soujanya rape-murder case,in these 26 years of gap, more than thousand unnatural deaths, suicides and murders took place in Dharmasthala and Ujire villages
.All these cases should be handed over to CBI, a direct supervising agent of Supreme Court’s judge demands JPV.
He further said that behind Soujanya’s rape-murder case, general public are saying that Heggade’s family is involved and honoring the citizen’s opinion,Heggade should resign immediately from his deacon post, he urged.
Shree Rama Diwana,KJPV convener further alleged that on the day of Soujanya’s rape-murder,Dr.Heggade has produced Visa copy of as a proof of Nischala Jain, son of Veerendra Hegde’s brother Harshendra Kumar was not in India and he was in abroad and it was suspected that it was duplicate. He urged the government to conduct thorough and impartial inquiry.
Continuing his speech, Jayan Malpe said that in a recently held public rally in Ujire in favor of Dr.Heggade, Vinaya Kumar Sorake, minister for urban development and district in charge openly declared that government is standing behind Dr.Heggade’s family.
When the cabinet ministers of his caliber are announcing like this, since Heggade’s family only suspected accused in the murder case, there is no point in conducting an inquiry by government owned investigation agencies and there may not be any transparency, efficiency and impartiality in the investigation, he alleges.
Hence, all abnormalities in 26 years, death, suicide, murder cases, including land transactions took place during this period ,should be handed over to CBI for investigation,Shree Rama Divana urged the government.
