Mangalore, Nov.1: The Dakshina Kannada district BJP committee celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava at district office here on Nov. 1st.
Former chief minister Sadanada Gowda inaugurated the programme by offering the floral tribute to Kannadambe. MCC member Roopa D Bangera sung the Nada Geethe.
Former MLA K. Balakrishna Bhat was the main speaker. In his speech he said that there are several languages and traditions in Karnataka. Trying to nurture all the language we should not neglect our culture and Kannada languge he opined.
District president Prathapsomha Nayak, MLA K. Jayaram Shetty, Rukmayya Poojary, chief secretary Shailaja Bhat, Budiyar Radhakrishna Rai, Sanjeeva Matanduru were present.
