Urging to CBI Probe into Sowjanya Case CPI(M) will Hold State Wide Bundh on Nov.7

Mangalore, Nov.5:The CPI(M) will held a state wide Bundh on November 7 in order to urge the government to hand over the Sowjanya rape and murder case to the CBI, said G.V. Srirama Reddy, State Secretary of the party.

Addressing the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands on November 5th, Tuesday, he said that various political parties which is said to be fighting to provide justice for poor are not supporting the Sowjanya’s case. He said the CPI(M) will observe a statewide bundh on November 7 along with various labour and student organizations.

He further said that the CID investigation report in the case was only trying to protect the real culprits by fixing an innocent mental ill person in the case.

The party workers will visit every village in the state and make aware the people of the issue. The protest march would be flagged off in Sullia on November 21 and a protest will be staged in Mangalore on November 26 urging for CBI investigation in Sowjanya case Reddy said.
