Kundapur; Nov 12: The foundation stone ceremony for the construction of new compound wall of Shree Mahadevi Kuntiamma was performed by B.Appanna Hegde, management executive of Shree Mahalingeshwara temple, Basruru.
Along with stage programme, Guruvandana programme and 100th experiment of yaksha pravasi yakshagana was also held.
The ceremony was chaired by the president of Udupi Rangabhoomi and Yakshagana Kalaranga, Udupi Thalluru Shivarama Shetty.Shree Kuntiyamma temple’s management executive T.N.Anand Shetty inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp.
Yakshagana critic Udaya Kumar Shetty,Manipal,Kundaprabha trust president U.S.Shenoy,renovation committee president T.N.Harish Shetty,Yakshagana artist T.N.Shambhu Kumar,Yakshasaurabha convener Mohammed Gouse were present as chief guests.
In the Guruvandana programme Dr.H.V.Narasimha,Dharmaadhikari Shringeri,columnist Ko.Shivananda Karanth,H.Chandrarajendra Aras,Kandavara Raghurama Shetty,professor Prashantha Beluru,Shree Vittala,Thallur temples management trustee,Shreepati Prabhu have been felicitated on the occasion.
Thalluru Shivarama Shetty has been felicitated and honored publicly.Yakshakalaranga’s secretary Murali Kadekar,Yakshagana Kalakendra Satish Kedlaya,senior artist Heranjalu Gopala Ganiga have been congratulated on the occasion.
Renovation committee honorable president T.B.Shetty had a comprehensive introductory speech. Secretary Sridhar Shetty introduced chief guests to the audience, Melmane Narayana Shetty welcomed the gathering.Sundara Shetty compered the programme and Vinaya Shetty proposed vote of thanks.
