Kundapur; Nov 16: After inaugurating the Government’s amenities distribution programme jointly organized by revenue department and rural development department in Kota Hobali level on Nov 15, Friday in Girija Kalyana Mantap at Saligrama, Karkada road, Vinaya Kumar Sorake, minister for urban development and district in charge said in his address that instead of sitting at office and work, representatives and authorities, should reach to the people, heed their grievances and problems and find out the solutions. This will be the indication of the transparent and good governance of the new government.
Besides, God will always grace the people, those who serve and respond to the needs of the poor, destitute, labours and incompetent people, he said.
New government by serving the people after reaching them has become popular among the people now and thus gained confidence of the people. In spite of having the problem of BPL ration card, government could able to issue one lac and 16 thousand people BPL card after rectifying the loopholes. Those who have not received BPL card even after qualifying for the same, applications are being accepted in Village Panchayat, he added.
Now under one of the mighty ambitious projects of ‘Annabhagya’, government is planning to give boiled rice (Kucche Akki) for the convenience of the people of the coastal region.
He further said that government is contemplating to allot accommodation and letter of power under 64C scheme to poor, who have deceived and homeless people, who have submitted applications.
Government has planned to extend loan facility for the farmers up to Rs 2 lac @ 3% interest and produce can be sold in the market at reasonable price as decided by the government in the samiti, which has been fomed exclusively for the purpose.
Government only decides the selling price for the agricultural produce of the farmers by forming a samiti and thinking of giving encouraging price for the paddy. In order to facilitates an early disposal of Sandhya Suraksha,, widow pension, handicapped pension, pension court was formed and by this time already 1600 applications have been cleared in the district and Bhoonyaya Mandali was formed under land reforms act to solve the problems related to lands.Manasvini scheme was formed, which will give Rs 500 as monthly pension to the unmarried girls and widows for their livelihood, he added.
Continuing his speech, he said that through programmes like this across the district by undertaking amenities distributing programs around 15 to 16 thousand beneficiaries have been given facilities.
By distributing amenities through programmes like this, problem of the people visiting the department will be eradicated but also people will understand realize the activities of the departments.
In order to reach the people, authority’s duty, responsibility will take an important role. He appreciated and lauded the efforts of the authorities, who make this programme success and possible and distributed amenities to 1158 beneficiaries of Kota hobali worth amenities 69 lac and 90 thousand ( Rs 68.90 lac) through this programme.
