Mangalore, Nov. 25: A Hindu convention was organized in Mangalore demanding for a Hindu nation at SDM College on Sunday Nov. 24.
.Mukhyaprana Temple Priest Gururaj Shastry, Bharat Swabhiman Trust member Dr Jnaneshwar Nayak, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti National spokesperson Ramesh Shinde, advocate Ganesh Shenoy light the lamp to inaugurate the event.
Nearly 150 Hindus participated in the convention.
In the beginning of the programme Prasnna Kamath cleared the aim of the convention.
Jnaneshwar Nayak said that for the multinational companies venturing into India, the country is only a market. “There are several foreign brands available in the market with Indian names. We should not buy foreign products but instead should support Indian products by purchasing them” he said.
Committee Member Mohan Gowda said that through the Anti-Superstition Bill an anti-Hindu bill is being built. He further said that temple is the cultural and centre of peace. The govt. is cultivating the western culture by giving importance to beach resort tourism than temple tourism.
Ramesh Shinde said that even while the population of Muslims is only 0.05 pc, a Islamic University is being proposed in Thirupathi, which is of no need. Now some terrorists also caught at Thirupathi, so now there should be a tight security for the temple he said.
