Kundapur; Nov 28: Kundapur taluk working journalists association strongly condemns the attack on V.T.Prasad, reporter of Vittla ‘Karavali Ale’ by activists of Muslim organization.
Shashidhar Hemmady, president of working journalists union and Secretary Nagaraja Rayappana Mata said in their joint statement that such attacks are highly condemnable and inhumane and conspiracy to create communal disturbances.
Police department should arrest the attackers immediately and action must be taken against those who have involved. Besides keeping a vigil on organizations which creates communal disturbances in the region, adequate police protection also must be provided to the journalists, who are the victims of the attack.
Expenses incurred for the medical treatment of journalist T.V.Prasad should also be borne by the government, it said.
