Mangalore, Dec. 1: To mark the celebration of Mannagudda Gurji Deepotsava(Dind) in the city the idol of Shri Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple was worshiped in the two beautiful chariot made by various flowers, fruits and vegetables at Mannagudda and Ballal Bhag on Saturday, November 30.
This is the 144th year celebration of Deepotsava. Thousands of devotees from various s places of the city came and took part in the religious programme.
In related to Deepotsava various religious and cultural programmes held at Mannagudda and Ballal Bhag.
The idol of Shri Sharavu Mahaganapathi Temple was worshiped in various places of the city and finally comes to Mannagudda. So every year till the utsav murthi come to Mannagudda there will be various programes like devotional music, and cultural programmes will be there. This year also lots of devotees came to participate in the deepotsav but the rain came at 11 in the night disappointed the devotees.
Then the grand procession of the Mahaganapathy came to Mannagudda Gurji and Ballal Bhag and the idol was worshipped in the two places with the presence of devotees.
