Kundapur; Dec 04: Though one side of the Kotebagilu road in Talluru village limit connecting road is constructed, there appears to be a hurdle in the construction of appropriate sewer system from safety point of the road. Over the past thirty years ago, the mud road which was constructed, when the mandala panchayat was there in power, got completely destroyed, panchayat did not bother to spend even a single rupee ever since for the repair of the damaged road.
However, though the mud road was repaired by one of the local generous, kind hearted donors, panchayat failed to construct drainage system on either side of the road. In this connection, it was reported that outraged local villagers, expressed their anger at Kotebagilu in Tallur village panchayat limit on Dec 03, Tuesday.
The right side of the mud road, which leads to Janata colony in Kotebagilu from Paarthikatte was repaired by one of the locals at free of cost. Drainage was also constructed on either side of the road by him. But when sewer system was constructed on either side of the main road, owner of the private land on the other side of the road objected it.
Therefore there is no proper place to flow water coming from above, resulting complete damage of the road due to water running on the road, where there is no drainage system. The people had to face lot of hardship even for walking.
But there was no chance for the smooth flow of drainage water of the road which was constructed with the assistance of local donor. In this connection local villagers already complained to Talluru village panchayat. President of the panchayat Jayalaxmi, PDO and secretary, visited the place and reviewed. But due to objection of the private land owner, work had to be stopped halfway. Then it was assured that suitable measures will be taken only after tabling the problems in the coming social justice samiti,it said.
