Subramanya, Dec 9: The annual Champashashti Brahmarathotsava at Kukke Shree Subrahmanya Temple was held on Sunday, December 8.
The Brahmarathotsava started in the morning with the idol of lord Umamaheshwara carried in the chariot.
Chief priest B Keshava Jogithaya and priest Rajesh Nadyanthillaya performed the rituals.
People of Malekudiya tribe had artistically prepared the chariot with bamboo sticks and cane. Thousands of devotees pulled the chariot.
Temple’s management committee president Krishnaprasad Madthila, members Chandrashekar Talur, Subrahmanya Bhat, Kishore Shiradi, Mohan Ram Sulli, Monappa Marnadu, Vanaja Bhat, Yamuna Rai, Temple secretary Nagaraj, assistant executive officer Ravindra and inspector of department of charity, Sudhakar were present.
Thousands of devotees came to the temple and participated in the celebrations with enthusiasm.
