Udupi; Dec 09: Addressing the protestors in the protest rally organized by CPM Udupi district Samiti on Dec 08, Sunday near clock tower near Udupi bus stand, K.Shankar, Udupi district secretary said in his address that bad practices and blind faith celebrations are being celebrated in 65 places including Kukke Subramanya. This is another face of caste discrimination and has to be prohibited this type of misfortune celebrations.
He further said that in order to prohibit an evil practice of ‘Madesthana and Pankthibeda’government must bring out one strict anti-superstitious ordinance.
During the occasion Udupi taluk secretary P.Vishwanatha Rai,district samiti member U.Dasa.Bhandary,Mahabala Vodera hobali,H.Narasimha,H.Vittala,Dogu Suvarna,Balkies Kundapur,Smt.Pushpa Mallaru and among others were present.
