Mangalore, Dec. 10: To control solid waste management, malaria and dengue Mangalore City Corporation has taken several measurements. If the public do not follow these steps MCC will charge fine. And if MCC find any mosquito growing places it will take necessary legal action said MCC commissioner Ajith Kumar S Hegde.
He was speaking at the press meet held at MCC auditorium on Tuesday, Dec. 10. He further said that the Supreme Court has given the directed to control solid waste management, malaria and dengue, and the original act has been amended now. This amendment needs more publicity. To bring transparency in the solid waste management we implemented three-tier model. First one is Vehicle tracking system. Under this model Vehicle tracking system will be fixed to every contract vehicles. By this can watch every activities of the vehicle sitting at office. Second one is M governess project. By this model the by using thus server the mobile will send the picture before and after cleaning the dustbin. The third one is SMS based PGR system in this system the people can gave complaint to MCC, to this number 9900536633 he added
To spread awareness on malaria and dengue many controlling method has taken that are put the banners and posters, distributing the pamphlets, announcing system, art exhibition, workshop and meeting will be held.MCC has started four blood testing unit to control the diseases.
If MCC find anybody splitting, urinating, throw the wastage’s everywhere, throwing the hospital’s waste in the public place will be charged with fine.
