Mangalore, April 10: In one of the major breakthroughs, a special Police team has succeeded in catching 180 Kgs of Ganja worth Rs 27 lacs from two places in Uppala in Manjeshwara on April 8, Monday evening.
Three persons, named Abdul Aziz, aged 48 a resident of Thalangeri,Sameena alias Sameera,aged 26 from Uppinangadi and Abdul Rahiman,aged 57 from Manjeshwara,Pavoor have been arrested in this connection.
Sources said that the special team following information raided the Azeena Quarter at Mallangai in Uppala and found 30Kgs of Ganja in gunny sacks and second raid was carried out on the basis of Aziz’s revelation and found 150Kgs of Ganja hidden in a house at Bajal in Pavoor near Manjeshwar.
On interrogation the accused have revealed that ganja was first concealed in a house at Kunjattur and then shifted from here to other places.
