He also said that after the death of Dinesh, his uncle Sidappa, in his complaint in police station had stated that Dinesh’s bike was intentionally rammed and made to look like accident, since Dinesh, has actively participated in protest seeking justice for Sowjanya. But later, some of the influential people of Dharmastala had threatened him and made to change the complaint from murder to accident on the very next day of accident at 8 am, before Dinesh’s body turned to ashes.

Babi Gowda demanded stern action against Balakrishna Poojari who, he said murdered his son in a case of deliberate accident and then tried to mislead investigation by destroying evidences. He also sought stringent punishment to Shyamasunder Gowda, Siddappa Gowda and others of Dharmasthala who tried to push up the case by forcing him to withdraw the complaint.

Mahesh Shetty Timarodi,President of Prajaprabhuthva Vedike said that earlier victim’s parents had stated that it was an accident. But now they realise that it was a pre-planned murder.

“Dinesh Kumar was murdered by the supporters of Dharmadikari, who had turned the entire case of murder into a road mishap,” Mr Shetty said adding that it is rather unfortunate to see that despite so many protests the Government is not ready to initiate a CBI probe into Saujanya murder case and has not taken any action against the influential persons of Belthangady.

He further said that Dharmasthala is not the private property of Dr Veerendra Heggade. It belongs to the devotees and the believers.  In Sowjanya rape and murder case, we are demanding for CBI probe under the surveillances of Supreme Court in 464 unnatural dead cases in ten years in Dharmasthala and Ujire surroundings and also the death of eye witness in Sowjanya rape and murder case,” he demanded.
