Karkala; Dec 25: SI, D.N.Kumar has arrested a man, who is accused in illegal sale of alcohol in Andaru near Ajekar. Sadashiva Shettigar and Vishwanatha Moolya were the people accused in selling illegal alcohol case in Andar Sumangala complex.
The owner of the canteen Vishwanatha Moolya managed to escape at the time interrogation and other accused Sadashiva Shettigar was the man to be arrested. 30 bottles of Mysore lancer 180 ML has been recovered from the accused.
The arrested accused Sadashiva Shettigar has abused Surendra Nayak, an informer to police with filthy language and warned with life-threatening.
When the car bearing the number plate KA-20, N 3658 was checked on the basis of information given by the accused, a cartoon of 48 bottles, Mysore lancer 180 ML was found. The total cost of 78 bottles seized by the police at the place of incident was Rs 3,900.T.Maruti car was took under the custody of police.
A case was registered in Ajekar police station in this regard.
