Mangalore, Dec 26: A B Ibrahim took charge as deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district at his office on Thursday, Dec 26.
Dc Ibrahim was given a floral welcome by Additional DC K Dayanand along with MCC commissioner Ajith Kumar Hegde, assistant commissioner Dr Prashanth, tahsildar Mohan Rao.
Addressing the media, he said that he has known the nerves of the region since he had served as MCC commissioner for several years.
He also assured to tackle the long term problem faced by the people of the district after holding a discussion with district in charge minister, other representatives and officials. Further appropriate steps will be taken to solve it within the given time.
He also said that he will work to stand by his responsibility and meet the expectation of public.
Hailing from Adoor village of Kasargod district DC Ibrahim has served as tahsildar at Kodogu for two years from 1986 to 1988.
After being selected in civil services exam conducted by the UPSC, he was posted as deputy collector in Goa from 1988-1990.
Ibrahim joined KAS in 1990and was posted as a probationary officer at Karwar and later served at high post in Hassan, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Mysore, Dharwad, Gulbarga, Bangalore and other districts.
