Mangalore, Dec 31: In an accident, a woman rider was killed, when her Honda Activa collided with a speeding tipper lorry near KMF Dairy at Kulshekhar on Tuesday, December 31.
The deceased woman is identified as Jyothi, resident of Kudupu and aged between 35 to 40 years.
Jyoti was riding along with her husband Ravindra (46), from Kudupu to city, when a tipper lorry rammed into them at Kulshekar. Both Jyoti and Ravindra fell off their scooter, and Jyoti was injured badly. The locals rushed her to hospital, where she was declared brought dead. It is said that the tipper lorry was being driving at a high speed.
Jyoti was employed at State Bank of Mysore while her husband Ravindra works for LIC. The couple has two children. Kankanady police have registered a case.
