Mangalore, Jan 1: The city ushered in the celebration of New Year with joy till the midnight with the glittering lights and sparkles.
The youngsters enjoyed their celebration by partying in various pubs, hotels and resorts.
The police department had tightened up the security all over the city to avoid any unnatural incidents taking place.
Most of the people had followed the warning of police department and concluded their celebration at 12.30 am, while in some places the police had to forcibly close the parties and disperse the mob.
