Karkala; Jan 01: A case of mysterious death of Prakash Namboodari, a Kerala origin, an employee of Kervashe cashew nursery, a subsidiary of Karnataka Cashew Development Corporation, was reported on Dec 26, in a shed near his accommodation. Since there were marks of wild animal’s attack on Prakash Namboodri’s body, unnatural death case was registered in Ajekar police station. Now it has got another twist claiming that Prakash Namboodri was murdered by another worker Santhosh,working in the same nursery as per the complaint lodged by Harinarayana,senior officer in Karkala Cashew development unit,
Santhosh, who is basically from Puttur, was working with Prakash Namboodri in the same Nursery. It was said that there was always used to be frequent quarrel between Santhosh and Prakash and thus there prevailed an enmity between them.
As usual there was a altercation between them on Dec 26.Then after committing murder of Prakash Namboodri,who was sleeping alone in the shed near their accommodation, in order to cover up the incident, by making some wild animals attack marks on Namboodri’s body, he attempted to escape more easily. The locals who were suspecting Santhosh of committing murder and medical report also confirmed that marks on the body of Namboodri was due to attack, thus the case came to light.
Ajekar police have arrested Sathosh.
