HYS members urge Government to book accused of Deralakatte case under Goonda Act

Mangalore, Jan 3: The members of Hindu Yuva Sena (HYS) staged a protest in front of the DC Office on Friday Jan 3, urging the state government to take strict action against the accused of kidnap, forced sex and blackmail of Deralakatte case.

Addressing the protestors, Gurupura Vajradehi Mutt seer Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji said that all the eight accused responsible such indecency crime must be booked under Goonda Act.

Swamiji also said that the police department and the government have failed to take action against the accused and are trying to protect them on behalf of minorities lobby.

He even criticized Home Minister for remaining silent in the case without demanding any punishment.

Yuva Morcha leader Raghavendra said that local politicians were trying to protect the accused in the case due to the minorities lobby.

The protestors handed over a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner.

Prior to the protest, the protestors carried out jatha from Ambedkar Circle to DC’s office.
