Karkala; Jan 10: Addressing the media personnel in the press meet organized after the BJP member’s walk-out from the ordinary meeting held on Jan 09, Thursday over the displeasure against working committee administrator’s style of functioning, Rashmi Shetty, president of Karkala taluk panchayat has alleged that Chennappa Moily, working committee administrator is not co-ordinating with president in the implementation of many of the major development works.
She further said that in the wake of non-implementation of some of the major programmes in the previous ordinary meetings,taluk’s development works has been slowed down. Out of the one crore grant released for the taluk in the present year, only Rs6.75 lac has been utilized for 9 works and now in remaining two months, how much works can be completed ? She questioned. Besides, about 9/11 forms, authorization has been given to respective PDOs of village panchayat to approve by district administrator. In this regard PDOs are being pressurized, it said.
She also said that a complaint will be submitted to Chief of zilla panchayat administrator against the working committee administrator, who shows disinterestedness in work and non-cooperation with the management.
Members like Bola Jayarama Salian, Raveendra Kumar, Vikrama Hegde, Naveen Kumar and vice president Jayaverma Jan were present.
