Mangalore: Jan 11: St Sebastian Church, Bendore to hold week-long celebrations to mark the conclusion of its centenary year from January 13, Monday to January 19, said parish priest Fr Anthony Serrao
Addressing the press meet held at Press Club on Jan 11, Saturday, he said that the week long programme will begin with a holy mass on January 13, Monday, which will be held in remembrance of the parish founders, while the concluding ceremony will comprise of a solemn Eucharistic celebration on January 19, Sunday. Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza will preside over the valedictory ceremony.
Dr Bernard Moras, Archibishop of Bangalore, Dr Lawrence Mukkhuzy, bishop of Beltangady, Dr Henry D’ Souza, bishop of Bellary, union ministers Oscar Fernandes and Dr Veerappa Moily, state ministers Ramanath Rai, Vinay Kumar Sorake, U T Khadar and Abhaychandra Jain, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Janardhan Poojary, Sr M Wilberta, Sr Agatha Mary, MLA J R Lobo, MLC Ganesh Karnik, MLC Monappa Bhandary will take part in the ceremony.
