Congress will hold public meeting in district from Jan 20: Kodijal Ibrahim

Mangalore, Jan 13: Congress district in-charge president Kodijal Ibrahim said that District Congress will plan constituency level counter meetings to solve the confusion within the party over RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat’s hate speech.

Addressing the press meet held at District Congress Office on Jan 13, Monday, he said that Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat has hurt the religious sentiments of Muslims and Christians through his hate speech at a Hindu convention at Gurupur.

He also said that related to this issue, the congress party has urged chief minister Siddarmaiah and home minister KJ George to take action against Bhat.

Congress Has planned a series of constituency level awareness meetings to challenge the hate propaganda of communal organizations in the district. It will also highlight the pro-people programmes introduced by state and central governments.

The chaos between the party workers at protest meet held at Gurpur on Sunday was just shouting the slogan against Bhat and his arrest.

Congress will hold public meetings at Puttur and Mangalore constituencies on Monday January 20, Moodbidri and Bantwal on Tuesday January 21, Sullia onWednesday Jan 22, Mangalore South on Sunday Jan 26 and Belthangady constituency on Monday January 27.

Leaders Masood, Nagendra, Ivan D’Souza, Suresh Ballal and others were present.
