Udupi; Jan 15: On the auspicious occasion of Kaaniyoor Math’s Paryaya, AIDS control and information and communication centre was inaugurated by Puttige Math’s Shreesugunendra Tirhta on Jan 14, Tuesday in Car Street.
Addressing after the inauguration Puttige Shree said in his speech that today it is the need of the hour to give comprehensive, crystal clear information about HIV/AIDS disease, which has grown to such a vast extent, to the people especially to youth communities. In this context, it is pleasure to start information and communication centre on behalf of Puttige Math and blessed let this centre be in the front line of building AIDS free society in Udupi district. This programme was jointly organized by Karnataka AIDS prevention Society, District AIDS control and prevention unit and Puttige Math.
District AIDs control officer Dr.H.Ashok,Kaaniyoor Math’s Medical department’s convener Dr.Ravi Uchil,District in charge Mahabaleshwara,District resource person Sumalatha Shetty,Bidkalkatte primary health centre’s Dinesh and among others were present on the occasion.
