Kundapur; Jan 15: A case of stealing diesel from the Lorries, those were parked after unloading the fishes by group of four people in the midnight was reported in Beejady of Koteshwara on Jan 14, Tuesday late night. One, out of the four men was caught and was treated nicely with thrash by public and handed over to police.They, after traveling in two Lorries, planned earlier to steal diesel from the parked Lorries.
When diesel was being stolen from the parked Lorries after unloading the fishes in Beejady, other lorry owners got up from the sleep, saw the people stealing diesel and chased them. The moment, they realized that they are being chased by the people, three of the people in one lorry and other man in another lorry have made their way. However after heavy chase one man Anilappa of Maharashtra origin was caught by the public near Koteshwara and was given a nice treatment with thrash by the public and finally handed over to police.
Police have recovered from the arrested, one lorry, three barrel diesel, one cooking gas cylinder and ten thousand rupees in cash.
