Udupi; Jan 18: Kaaniyoor Shree Vidhyavallabha Shree Padha’ Paryaya Mahotsava’s Shobhayatre was held in great pomp and gaiety on Jan 18, Saturday early dawn. The procession, which started from Jodukatte, entered Krishna Math via K.M.road.
In the procession Pejavar Math’s Vishveshwara Shreeji, Krishnapur Math’s Vidhyasagar Shreepadha, Palimar Math’s Vidhyadeesha Shree Padha, Pejavar Math’s junior Shree Vishwaprasanna Shreeji have come along with the procession. In the procession, as an attractive display more than 20 tableaus, Dollu Kunita, Keelu Kudure, Chende vadhana, Hulivesha, Nagaswaravadhana, Nasik Band etc have added extra flavor to the procession. Elephant which came from Dharmasthala, moving in the front has increased the seriousness of the Shobhayatre.
Millions of people:
Millions of people in between the road from Jodukatte to Car Street have become testimony to the attractive procession. People have expressed their emotional feelings of devotion through chanting of Ramnam Japa and bhajans.
Vinaya Kumar Sorake, minister for urban development, Udupi legislator Pramodh Madhwaraj, former MLA Raghupati Bhat and among others were participated in the procession.
Handing over of Akshaya Patre:
The procession, which entered the car street around at 06.00,Kaaniyoor Shree who came along with Yathis had the Darshana of Shree Krishna through Kanakana Kindi.Then Kaaniyoor Math’s Shreeji after visiting Chandramoulishwara and Anantheshwara temple again went back to Math and met Sodhe Vishwavallabha Tirtha.Then in Navagraha Kindi,had the Darshana of shree Krishna. At this time Vishwavallabha, has completed prime rituals, formalities of Paryaya Mahotsava.Then Kaaniyoor Shreeji has ascended Sarvajna Peetha.
