Mangalore, Feb 12: Karnataka Janatha Paksha (KJP) founder president Padmanabha Prasanna Kumar said that as claimed by former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa, KJP has not been merged with BJP.
Speaking at the press meet on Feb 11, Tuesday, he said that statements of Yeddyurappa merging KJP with BJP is far from truth and only Yeddyurappa and his followers have merged with BJP.
Further Yeddyurappa has nothing to do with KJP and will not have any kind of alliance with BJP in future too. KJP will fight in 28 constituencies in the state in the Lok Sabha election.
He also said that he continues to be the State President of KJP as per the decision taken by KJP members.
He also announced that the party will give ticket to former Union civil aviation minister V Dhananjay Kumar to contest from Mangalore Lok Sabha constituency. The list of candidates for Bangalore South, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore North, Bangalore Central, Mandya, Mysore, Hasan, Tumkur, Chitradurga, Davangere, Ballari, Koppala and Haveri is prepared and the list of candidates for other constituencies will be released after March 16.
