Mangalore: Eminent high court lawyer, I Chandrahas Shetty filed his nomination for Mangalore Constituency Loksabha seat today at DC office, Mangalore. He along with his mother and supporters arrived to DC office and submitted his nomination for the contest of election to the acting election officer, Mr. Irbahim, DC of Dakshina Kannada.
After filing his nomination he told that he is contesting this election to provide a choice to the people of the constituency to select able MP. “Nation is looking for change. Constituency is looking for change of MP. I am for Non-Congress government” he said to the media people. He appealed towards the people to cast their vote for able candidate and hence Mangalore constituency will see sustainable development with hygienic environment.
Iruvailu Chandrahasa Shetty hails from Iruvailu village, near Moodbidri. He belongs to Okkaliga community, one of the decision factors in this election. He studied at Iruvailu, Yedapadavu, Moodbidri and graduated in law from Bombay University. He is a High Court lawyer at Mumbai and also has office at Moodbidri. Apart from his profession, IC Shetty is engaged in several social activities in Dakshina Kannada including fighting for human rights and social justice cases. Interestingly he was the legal advisor for Aam Admi Party, Dakshina Kannada, and quit AAP for its undemocratic practices.
