Mangalore, March 24: CPI(M) candidate Yadava Shetty and Independent candidate Sudatta Jain files their nomination on March 24, Monday, from Dakshina Kannada constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Both the candidates submitted their nomination papers to the Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer A.B. Ibrahim.
Speaking on the occasion, CPI(M) candidate Yadava Shetty said that people of the district has already identified him in various pro-labour movements and sure to gain large number of votes. Shetty was accompanied by party leaders Vasanth Achari, Yashwanth Maroli, Sunil Kumar Bajal, Jayaram Shetty, KR Shriyan and others.
Sudatta Jain said that as the General Secretary of Akhila Bharatha Karmika Sangha, he has worked for the betterment of ESI Hospital in the city and labours and expressed confidence in getting large support from people of district.
