Bantwal, April 11: Clashes arose again between the two groups in the town of Kalladka in Bantwal taluk on April 10, Thursday night. Sources said that, three persons were injured and two vehicles were damaged in the clashes.
The story as of now reveals that the clashes broke out at around 8.30 pm when a group of men mugged a youth belonging to a minority community. This led to a fight between two groups which fearlessly hurled bottles and stones at each other.
The KSRP personnel, who were camping in the town in the wake of the elections, had to resort to lathi charge to bring the situation under control. It is learnt that shops in the area immediately closed down fearing the worst.
The scene of tension has increased due to elections and these clashes. Police have taken the situation under control.
