Mangalore, April 18: District Congress Interim President Ibrahim Kodijal said that Dakshina Kannada constituency registered the highest voting percentage at the Lok Sabha elections held on April 17, showing a sign pro-Congress wave in D.K.
Speaking at the press meet held at Congress Election office on April 18, Friday, he thanked the voters and supporters of district who exercised their franchise.
He also appreciated the effort of Electing Commission and DC and District Election officer AB Ibrahim, who has worked hard for the smooth and peacefully polling in Dakshina Kannada.
He also said that he was confidence that the voters in large number have elected congress candidate B Janardhana Poojary and would help to rule the district and country at large.
Congress Spokesperson Kallige Taranath Shetty, Mayor Mahabala Maarla, Mayor and others were present.
